" These powerful new paintings by Mr. Geiser are executed with the raw material of oil paint. Oily transparent glazes and pools of paint impact arid, densely pigmented surfaces of terra cotta, cobalt blue, gold leaf and rich earth tones. The pieces are worked on board in random sizes and shapes, sometimes in groupings. From these layers of sediment and patinas of paint organic forms emerge through time and process. There is a restless expressionistic exuberance in these pieces attempting to conjure matter into spirit."
